Lambton Public Health, Family Health Clinics

Lambton Public Health offers programs and services that provide mental health and parenting supports to families in our community. Our team of Public Health Nurses are committed to supporting you and your family every step of the way, from pre-conception, throughout pregnancy, following birth, and up until your child reaches school age.

Programs and services offered include:

  • Family Health Line: Public Health Nurses are available Monday to Friday from 8:30-4:30 to offer parents and caregivers confidential phone support and one-to-one counseling to support your concerns or questions about parenting as well as your child’s health and wellbeing.
  • Young Parent Prenatal Classes & Virtual Prenatal Classes: Prenatal classes offer an opportunity to check in with a Public Health Nurse (PHN) and receive assistance in setting up a strong support system and developing confidence for the transition to postpartum life.
  • Ask a Public Health Nurse Drop-in Sessions: Lambton Public Health offers drop-in sessions, where parents can check in with a PHN for support and to ask questions about their baby, parenting, and mental health. It is also a great opportunity to connect with other parents to build up a network of support while offering socialization opportunities for your baby. These drop-in sessions promote healthy growth and development and well-being for your baby.

To get started: Call 519-383-3817 to speak with a Public Health Nurse or email familyhealthline@county-lambton.on.ca to inquire about the listed programs, services, and supports.
